The personal training program within Emory Fitness is designed to give individuals the attention they need to achieve personal health and fitness goals.  Our number one priority is to give you the motivation and tools to gain success regardless of age, experience or fitness level.

At your first session, your trainer will discuss your specific fitness goals with you such as cardiovascular conditioning, weight loss, muscle building, sport-specific training, and rehabilitation from injury to name a few. Based upon your goals, the trainer will design a training program specifically directed toward your desired results. It takes more than state-of-the-art equipment and a workout program to achieve ambitious outcomes. The Emory Fitness Personal Training Program strives to help you get the individual attention you need!

Emory Fitness Certified Personal Trainers will:

  • Motivate you to go beyond just going through the motions
  • Help you develop the motivation to exercise regularly
  • Work with you on every exercise for maximum efficiency and effectiveness

*Tier refers to personal trainer classification. Please note all personal trainers are Nationally Certified Personal Trainers with the industry’s best certifications. Tier classifications vary with education and experience.

To begin training with a Personal Trainer:

  1. Complete a Personal Training Interest FormPhysical Activity Readiness Questionnaire and a Personal Training Waiver and return all three forms to Membership Services located on the 2nd floor of the WPEC. You can also scan over the documents to the Assistant Director of Fitness and Wellness at  
  2. Check out the Personal Trainer bios.
  3. Once your application is turned in, you will be contacted within 48-72 hours with information on the trainer you will be placed with.
  4. After you have been placed with a trainer, you may then submit your payment by check or credit card (Cash is not accepted) at Membership Services.
